Joseph Ruskin was an American character actor born on April 14, 1924, in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He passed away on December 28, 2013, at the age of 89. During his career, he accumulated 124 known acting credits. Ruskin is notable for being one of only four actors to appear in both the original Star Trek television series that began in 1966, continuing up to and including the film Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country in 1991, and in one of the franchise's spin-off series. Alongside Majel Barrett, Clint Howard, and Jack Donner, he is specifically one of four actors to appear in both the original Star Trek series and Star Trek: Enterprise. Additionally, he played a Vulcan Master in an episode of Star Trek: Voyager. His other television and film credits include an episode of The Outer Limits titled Production and Decay of Strange Particles and the movie Smokin' Aces.
