Overview

Open Season is a 2006 animated feature film centered on the experiences of a grizzly bear named Boog. Boog is a domesticated animal weighing 900 pounds who leads a comfortable life until he finds himself stranded in the woods. This displacement occurs just three days before the start of the hunting season. While navigating his new environment, Boog encounters a fast-talking mule deer named Elliot. Despite their differences, the two characters form an unlikely friendship. As the threat of the hunters approaches, Boog and Elliot must work together to organize the other forest animals. The pair attempts to rally the local wildlife into a rag-tag army to defend themselves against the humans. The narrative follows their efforts to survive and adapt to the wilderness while preparing for the imminent dangers of the open season.
