Pruitt Taylor Vince is an American character actor born on July 5, 1960, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University. Vince has made numerous appearances in film and television, including roles in Mississippi Burning, Jacob's Ladder, JFK, Identity, and Constantine. He also played J.J. Laroche in The Mentalist television series. Vince won a Primetime Emmy Award for his guest role as Clifford Banks in the second season of Murder One in 1997. He has a condition called nystagmus, characterized by the involuntary movement of the eye. Vince made his film debut in Jim Jarmusch's Down by Law.
