Overview
House is an American medical drama television series created by David Shore for the Fox network. The program aired for eight seasons, beginning on November 16, 2004, and concluding on May 21, 2012. Also known as House, M.D. or Dr. House in various international markets, the series stars Hugh Laurie as the title character. Dr. Gregory House is depicted as a drug-addicted, unconventional, and misanthropic medical genius. He serves as an antisocial maverick doctor specializing in diagnostic medicine, leading a team of diagnosticians at the fictional Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital located in New Jersey. Using his wits and a crack team of doctors, he does whatever is necessary to solve the puzzling medical cases that come his way. The cast includes Omar Epps, Robert Sean Leonard, and Jesse Spencer. Production for the series included filming at the University of Southern California for the third-season episode titled Half-Wit, which featured guest appearances by Dave Matthews and Kurtwood Smith.
