Synopsis
House takes the case of a young girl who has been diagnosed with pancreatitis. When he takes her divorced parents to court to force them to allow treatment because they can't agree, the judge awards guardianship of the girl to Cuddy. Meanwhile, Tritter continues his strategy to force House to admit to his drug use by offering one of the team members a deal.

In this episode of House, a young girl is diagnosed with pancreatitis, prompting Dr. Gregory House to take on her case. House's unconventional approach to diagnosis leads him to believe that the girl's pancreatitis may not be the primary issue.
House's investigation into the girl's condition leads him to take her divorced parents to court, as they are unable to agree on a course of treatment. The judge awards guardianship of the girl to Dr. Lisa Cuddy, who becomes responsible for making decisions regarding the girl's medical care.
Meanwhile, Detective Michael Tritter continues his efforts to force House to admit to his drug use. Tritter offers a deal to one of House's team members, attempting to use this as leverage to get House to cooperate with his investigation.
