Overview

Constantine is a 2005 American supernatural action-thriller film directed by Francis Lawrence in his feature film debut. The screenplay, written by Kevin Brodbin and Frank Cappello, draws loosely from the Hellblazer comic book series. Keanu Reeves stars as John Constantine, a chain-smoking, world-weary exorcist and demon hunter based in Los Angeles. When Detective Angela Dodson approaches him to investigate the mysterious death of her twin sister, Constantine becomes entangled in a larger supernatural conflict.
