Overview

Medium is an American supernatural procedural drama series created by Glenn Gordon Caron that follows the life of Allison DuBois. The show stars Patricia Arquette as DuBois, a suburban mother who attempts to balance her family life with her work at the District Attorney’s office in Phoenix, Arizona. As a psychic medium, she utilizes her natural intuition and ability to communicate with the dead to assist in solving crimes. Her dreams often provide clues regarding the deaths of individuals or the whereabouts of missing persons. The series features a cast that includes Miguel Sandoval, Jake Weber, and Sofia Vassilieva, with episodes directed by individuals such as Aaron Lipstadt. The program originally aired on NBC for five seasons between January 3, 2005, and June 1, 2009. It subsequently moved to CBS, where it aired for two additional seasons from September 25, 2009, until January 21, 2011. Throughout the series, DuBois relies on visions sent by the dead to uncover information about criminal activities.
