Biography
Gene Reynolds, born Eugene Reynolds Blumenthal on April 4, 1923, was an American actor, television writer, director, and producer. He is recognized for his role as one of the producers of the television series MAS*H. Reynolds began his screen career in 1934 with an appearance in the Our Gang short Washee Ironee. Over the following three decades, he appeared in numerous films, including In Old Chicago, Captains Courageous, Love Finds Andy Hardy, Boys Town, They Shall Have Music, Santa Fe Trail, Adventure in Washington, Eagle Squadron, and The Country Girl. His television acting credits include appearances on I Love Lucy, Armstrong Circle Theatre, and Whirlybirds. Gene Reynolds died on February 3, 2020.
