Overview

Tales of Wells Fargo is an American Western television series that aired on NBC from 1957 to 1962. Created by Frank Gruber, James Brooks, and Gene Reynolds, the program was produced by Revue Productions and spanned 201 episodes. The series features Dale Robertson in the lead role of Jim Hardie, a special agent for the Wells Fargo company. Set during the 1870s and 1880s, the narrative follows Hardie as he assists agents in their efforts to battle outlaws and maintain security. The show originally utilized a half-hour format for the majority of its run. During its final season, the series underwent a significant transition, expanding to a full hour and switching from its original black-and-white presentation to color. The cast included actors such as Art Felix, Kit Carson, and William Demarest.
