Overview

Laramie is an American Western television series that aired on the NBC network. The program was a production of Revue Studios and ran from September 15, 1959, until May 21, 1963. Set in the 1870s Wyoming Territory, the series follows the lives of characters including Slim Sherman and his younger brother, Andy Sherman. The cast featured John Smith as Slim Sherman, Robert Fuller as Jess Harper, Hoagy Carmichael as Jonesy, and Robert L. Crawford, Jr. as Andy Sherman. Additional actors who appeared in the series include Spring Byington and Dennis Holmes. The show depicts the lives of its protagonists as they navigate the challenges of the frontier environment. While the series shares its name with the city of Laramie, Wyoming, the television program is a distinct historical production from the mid-twentieth century. The show concluded its run in 1963 after four years of broadcast. The narrative focuses on the interactions and experiences of the central characters living within the Wyoming Territory during the nineteenth century.
