Biography
Lloyd Nolan was an American film and television actor. He was born in San Francisco, California, to Margaret and James Nolan, a shoe manufacturer of Irish descent. Nolan attended Santa Clara Preparatory School and Stanford University, but he flunked out as a freshman due to not attending classes other than dramatics. His parents preferred that he join his father's shoe business, rather than pursue a career in acting.
