Don Haggerty
Biography
Don Haggerty was an American film actor. He was born on July 3, 1914, in Poughkeepsie, New York. Haggerty appeared in films in the 1940s and 1950s. Before entering films in 1947, he was a Brown University athlete and served in the US military. He was often cast as tough policemen or cowboys and appeared in films such as Sands of Iwo Jima (1949) and The Asphalt Jungle (1951). Haggerty continued to appear in films until the early 1980s, including an episode of the syndicated series Stories of the Century, where he played the outlaw Sam Bass in the 1955-1956 season.
