Biography
Arlington Rand Brooks Junior was an American film and television actor. He was born in Wright City, Missouri, on September 21, 1918, to a farmer father, Arlington Rand Brooks. When he was four years old, he and his mother moved to Los Angeles, though he continued visiting Wright City during summers into the 1950s, up to and following his father's death in 1950. His mother and grandfather were both actors. After leaving school, Brooks received a screen test at MGM and secured a bit part in the 1938 film Love Finds Andy Hardy. He achieved major fame for his role as Charles Hamilton in the 1939 film Gone with the Wind. Brooks passed away on September 1, 2003, at the age of eighty-four.
