The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp is a television western series that aired on ABC from 1955 to 1961. Loosely based on the life of the famed frontier marshal Wyatt Earp, the show was presented in black-and-white and ran for 229 episodes, each approximately half an hour in length. Hugh O'Brian starred in the title role, portraying Earp as a determined figure committed to law and order in the Old West. The series falls within the action and adventure genre and was rated TV-PG. It spanned six seasons during its original run and featured a recurring cast that supported O'Brian’s portrayal of the legendary lawman.
