Biography
Sean Bean, born Shaun Mark Bean on 17 April 1959, is an English actor known for his work across theatre, television, and film. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and made his professional debut in a 1983 stage production of Romeo and Juliet. Bean gained mainstream recognition for his role as Richard Sharpe in the ITV series Sharpe, which aired from 1993 to 1997. His film credits include Patriot Games, GoldenEye, Ronin, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Troy, among others. Bean has also appeared in television series such as Game of Thrones. He retains his Yorkshire accent in his performances and has built a diverse career spanning multiple genres and formats.
