Biography
Elijah Jordan Wood is an American actor and producer, born January 28, 1981. He began his career as a child actor, making his film debut in Back to the Future Part II (1989). He gained recognition in the early 1990s with roles in Avalon (1990), Forever Young (1992), The Adventures of Huck Finn (1993), and The Good Son (1993). As a teenager, he appeared in North (1994), The War (1994), Flipper (1996), and The Ice Storm (1997). Wood is best known for portraying Frodo Baggins in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy and reprised the role in The Hobbit series. He also starred as Ryan in the FX comedy Wilfred. His accolades include two Saturn Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Daytime Emmy nomination.
