He attended Louisiana State University as an undergraduate and later studied law at Duke University and Stanford Law School, graduating in the late 1970s. Andrews began his acting career with a starring role in the 1984 horror classic A Nightmare on Elm Street. He also appeared in Stephen King's Graveyard Shift in 1990 and played James Earp in the 1994 film Wyatt Earp. Andrews has a career spanning multiple media, with a focus on acting.
