Overview

McHale's Navy is a World War II television comedy series. The series follows the adventures of the crew of a U.S. Navy Reserve PT Boat stationed in the Southwest Pacific. The crew, known as the "Family," consists of diverse individuals with unique personalities and skills, including a con man and amateur magician, a womanizing hunk, a dedicated family man, a guitar-playing and moonshine-making good ol' boy, and a cook. The series features the leadership of an experienced South Pacific Sea Dog, who has been commissioned as a Lieutenant Commander into the U.S. Navy Reserve.
