Biography
Roy Roberts was an American character actor. He was born on March 19, 1906, and passed away on May 28, 1975. Roberts began his acting career on stage, initially performing with a stock company in Tampa, Florida, before joining a touring stock theater company for five years. He made his Broadway debut in May 1931 and his motion picture debut in the 1936 two-reel comedy short Gold Bricks, released by 20th Century-Fox. Over the course of his career, which spanned over 40 years, he appeared in more than 900 productions on stage and screen.
