Tessie Jean Harper, known professionally as Tess Harper, is an American actress born on August 15, 1950. She gained recognition for her early film work, receiving a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her debut role in 1983's Tender Mercies. Harper earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 1986 film Crimes of the Heart. Her filmography includes appearances in Flashpoint, Ishtar, Far North, and No Country for Old Men. Harper also had a recurring role on the first three seasons of the television series Breaking Bad, which aired from 2008 to 2010.
