Robert Rusler (born September 20, 1965) is an American film and television actor. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Maria Elena (née Varela) and Richard C. Rusler. After spending part of his youth in Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, where he competed in surfing and skateboarding tournaments, his family relocated to Los Angeles, where he studied martial arts and entered competitions. Following high school he took acting classes at the Loft Studio with Peggy Feury and William Taylor. Rusler’s screen debut came in 1985 with the comedy Weird Science, in which he played Max, and the same year he appeared as Ron Grady in the horror film Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge. He later became known for roles in the television series Ray Donovan, Babylon 5 and S.W.A.T.
