Biggs attended the University of Southern California on a scholarship to study theatre. Before landing his first major television role as Dr. Marcus Hunter on the soap opera Days of Our Lives, he briefly taught at a Los Angeles high school. He was also known for his role on the television series Babylon 5. Diagnosed with hearing problems at age 13, Biggs was partially deaf in one ear and completely deaf in the other, and he frequently used his celebrity status to raise money for the Aliso Academy in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.
