Babylon 5 is a five-mile long space station located in neutral space. Built by the Earth Alliance in the 2250s, the station serves as a sanctuary designed to maintain peace among various alien races. Its primary function is to provide a neutral location where grievances and negotiations can be addressed by duly appointed ambassadors. A council manages these interstellar relations, consisting of representatives from the five major space-faring civilizations. These include the Earth Alliance, the Minbari Federation, the Centauri Republic, the Narn Regime, and the Vorlon Empire. The council works in conjunction with the League of Non-Aligned Worlds to facilitate diplomatic discussions and resolve conflicts. Beyond its diplomatic purpose, the station serves as a central hub for interaction between these diverse civilizations. The project reflects the ongoing efforts of the Earth Alliance to foster stability and cooperation within the galaxy by creating a dedicated space for representatives to meet and deliberate on matters of mutual concern.
