Peter Edward Ostling, also known as Peter Jason, was an American character actor born on July 22, 1944, in Hollywood, California. He died on February 20, 2025, at the age of 80. Throughout his career, he appeared in more than eighty films and over one hundred television shows. His work includes supporting roles in the films Arachnophobia and 48 Hrs., and he played the character Con Stapleton in the series Deadwood. Jason was a frequent collaborator with directors John Carpenter and Walter Hill, appearing in six and eight of their films respectively. Additionally, he provided the voice for Sergeant Dornan in the video game Fallout 2.
