Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman is an American Western drama television series created and executive produced by Beth Sullivan. The program, which aired from 1993 to 1998, follows the trials and adventures of a female physician in the American Old West. Jane Seymour stars as Dr. Michaela Quinn, an upper-class New Englander who leaves Boston to seek adventure. According to the series synopsis, Dr. Quinn journeys to Colorado Springs to serve as the town physician following the death of her father in 1868.
