He graduated from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in Bristol, England. Following his education, he returned to the stage, performing on Broadway and Off-Broadway, as well as spending several seasons in regional theatre at the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, the Trinity Square Theatre in Providence, and the Front Street Theatre in Memphis. He later moved to Hollywood to begin his film and television career. He is a recipient of the MovieGuide Award and has accumulated numerous known credits in his acting career.
