Overview

Baywatch is an American action drama television series that follows the professional and personal lives of lifeguards patrolling the beaches of Los Angeles County, California. Later seasons of the show expanded the setting to include Hawaii. Created by Michael Berk, Gregory J. Bonann, and Douglas Schwartz, the program served as a platform for various actors, most notably starring David Hasselhoff throughout its run. The series features the lifeguards as they engage in thrilling adventures on the beach while wearing iconic red swimsuits. Although the show was cancelled after its first season on NBC, it continued to be produced for a total of eleven seasons. The original series was captured on high-quality 35mm film, which allowed for a later remastering process that digitized the original negatives into widescreen high definition. The cast featured many performers over the years, including Pamela Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth, Jeremy Jackson, Alexandra Paul, and David Charvet. The series remains available for viewing through modern streaming platforms.
