Prosecuting the Deputy Director of the Land Registration Office, Thuan Nam branch, Ninh Thuan province

On the same day, the Ninh Thuan Provincial Police Department also served a decision to prosecute and ban three other defendants related to the above case from leaving their place of residence.

The above prosecution decisions have been approved by the People’s Procuracy of Ninh Thuan province.

Previously on July 29, the Ninh Thuan Provincial Police Investigation Agency decided to prosecute a case of violation of land management regulations that occurred in Phuoc Dinh commune, Thuan Nam district.

Regarding the above violations, the conclusion of the Ninh Thuan province inspection team (in March 2023) discovered many violations in land management in this locality. Among them, there is the issuance of land use rights certificates not in accordance with regulations.

Specifically, the inspector’s conclusion clearly stated that the issuance of land use rights certificates (LURCs) in Phuoc Dinh commune (Thuan Nam district) still has shortcomings and violations of processes and procedures. Many cases of land use right certificates being granted overlap and are not consistent with the planning of three types of forests managed by the Thuan Nam Coastal Protection Forest Management Board.

In some cases, the commune land registration council requested to issue Land Use Rights Certificates to households named in the list of encroachers who had previously been sanctioned for administrative violations by competent authorities.

In particular, the inspection process also discovered 7 cases of non-local people receiving land transfer within the protection forest planning with a total area of ​​11.13 hectares, violating Clause 4, Article 191 of the 2013 Land Law. .

Regarding the above incident, the Ninh Thuan Provincial Police Department also searched the workplace and residence of the above defendants.

The case is currently being further investigated and handled according to legal regulations.
