Kirstie Louise Alley was an American actress born on January 12, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas, and she died on December 5, 2022, at the age of 71. Her breakout acting role was playing Rebecca Howe in the NBC sitcom Cheers from 1987 to 1993, which earned her an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe in 1991. She also starred in the sitcom Veronica's Closet from 1997 to 2000, receiving additional Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Alley appeared in various films, including Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Summer School, Shoot to Kill, Look Who's Talking and its two sequels, Madhouse, Sibling Rivalry, Village of the Damned, It Takes Two, and Deconstructing Harry.
