Jason Momoa
Biography
Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa, born August 1, 1979, in Honolulu, Hawaii, is an American actor and filmmaker. He began his acting career on the series Baywatch: Hawaii from 1999 to 2001. Momoa gained wider recognition for his role as Ronon Dex in the Syfy series Stargate Atlantis, which aired from 2005 to 2009. He portrayed Khal Drogo in the first two seasons of HBO's Game of Thrones and starred as Declan Harp in the Discovery Channel's Frontier from 2016 to 2018. Since 2016, he has played Arthur Curry / Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe. Momoa also leads the Apple TV+ series See, which premiered in 2019. His father is of Native Hawaiian and Samoan descent, while his mother has German, Irish, and Native American ancestry.
