Amber Laura Heard is an American film and television actress born on April 22, 1986, in Austin, Texas. After appearing in a series of small roles in film and television, she secured her first starring role in the 2006 horror film All the Boys Love Mandy Lane. She achieved mainstream recognition through supporting roles in the 2008 films Never Back Down and Pineapple Express. Her subsequent film credits include The Joneses, The Ward, The Rum Diary, Drive Angry, Machete Kills, and Magic Mike XXL. In 2017, she joined the DC Extended Universe to portray the Atlantean queen Mera in the superhero films Justice League, Aquaman, and Zack Sny.
