Patrick Joseph Wilson is an American actor, director, and singer born on July 3, 1973, in Norfolk, Virginia. He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from Carnegie Mellon. Wilson began his career in 1995 starring in Broadway musicals and earned two Tony Award nominations for his roles in The Full Monty from 2000 to 2001 and Oklahoma! in 2002. He co-starred in the HBO miniseries Angels in America in 2003, receiving nominations for a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie. His film appearances include The Phantom of the Opera, Hard Candy, Little Children, Watchmen, Insidious, The A-Team, Insidious: Chapter 2, and playing demonologist Ed Warren.
