Biography

Jacob Vargas is a Mexican-American actor born on August 18, 1971. He began his acting career at the age of 12 after being discovered breakdancing in a schoolyard. His introduction to acting came with a bit part as a breakdancer on the TV show Diff'rent Strokes. Vargas' first movie role was in the TV movie The Children of Times Square in 1986. He went on to appear in films such as Last Resort, Ernest Goes to Camp, The Principal, Little Nikita, American Me, and Gas Food Lodging. Vargas won the Emerging Artist of the Year ALMA Award in 1995 for his work in Mi Vida Loca and My Family.
