Henry Jones was an American actor of stage, film, and television. Born on August 1, 1912, he attended the Jesuit-run Saint Joseph's Preparatory School. Jones was the grandson of Pennsylvania Representative Henry Burk. He is known for originating the role of handyman Leroy Jessup in the movie The Bad Seed, a part he also played on Broadway. Jones won a Tony Award for his performance in Sunrise at Campobello. He had numerous theatre credits, including My Sister Eileen, Hamlet, The Time of Your Life, They Knew What They Wanted, and The Solid Gold Cadillac. Jones passed away on May 17, 1999, at the age of 86.
