A DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: As we anticipate celebrating Reformation Day and All Saints’ Day, we recall the work and words of Martin Luther. He said in one of his sermons in 1522, “I did nothing; the Word did everything…. I simply taught, preached, and wrote God’s Word; otherwise I did nothing.” Luther captured that idea in his Reformation hymn, A Mighty Fortress. “…One little Word can fell him [that is, the devil].” May we cherish God’s Word which gives us the good news of His love in Christ and the full forgiveness of all our sins.
