Hai Phong went upstream to lower Khanh Hoa, approaching the first group
Even though they had to stop at the 2023/2024 AFC Cup, Hai Phong’s 4-0 win over Hougang United is considered a beautiful farewell for the Cang football team to the continental playground. A surprise happened when it was Khanh Hoa Club who opened points first. Specifically, the away team entered the game jubilantly and took the lead. Guirassy broke through into the penalty area, but his control movements afterwards were not good, so he couldn’t get a shot. Goalkeeper Dinh Trieu cleared the ball, but Van Tung appeared and launched a strong cross-angle kick that blew open Hai Phong’s net.
Being behind, Hai Phong was forced to raise their squad to attack in an attempt to equalize the score. Strong pressure was poured into Khanh Hoa’s goal. What has to happen has to happen. Starting from a corner kick taken by Trieu Viet Hung, Bicou tried to save the ball from the bottom of the goal line and Hoai Duong did not help his teammates when he headed the ball into Khanh Hoa’s net from close range.

At the 64th minute, the score was 3-1 for Hai Phong. Still from a corner kick taken by Trieu Viet Hung, captain Mpande had a chance to score in the penalty area and he made a dangerous low shot, leaving all opponents helpless.
3-1 was the final result of this match and it helped Hai Phong have 11 points in hand, rising to 4th place on the V.League 2023/2024 rankings, only 2 points behind the top team B.Binh Duong. Meanwhile, Khanh Hoa Club continues to sink deeper into crisis. The Bien City football team lost 5 and won only 1 out of 6 matches, dropping to 12th place.
