CAHN Club marched to Khanh Hoa Club’s 19-8 stadium in round 7 of V.League 2023/2024 with the goal of winning all 3 points, thereby breaking the streak of 3 matches that only knew draws and losses. In fact, they got off to an impressive start when Bui Hoang Viet Anh had a classy tackle in the 10th minute to open the score. But then, Bui Hoang Viet Anh’s disastrous slip in the 32nd minute and foreign soldier Landy’s brilliant performance helped Khanh Hoa Club regain a 2-1 lead.

Entering the second half, CAHN Club launched a strong attack. Even in the last minutes, coach Gong Oh-kyun also put on the field all the best attacking cards in search of an equalizing goal. Minute 90+3, it seemed like joy had come to the away team.

Starting from Nguyen Xuan Nam’s cross on the left wing, Ho Tan Tai jumped high to head the ball, goalkeeper Vo Ngoc Cuong pushed the ball out and Huynh Tan Sinh was in the right place to volley into the home team’s net. However, immediately afterward, referee Do Khanh Nam denied CAHN Club’s goal when he received an offside signal from the assistant referee. Specifically, the linesman flagged Ho Tan Tai as being in an offside position when he failed to win a header against Vo Ngoc Cuong.

The referee was right not to recognize Huynh Tan Sinh’s goal

Through slow motion, it is true that Ho Tan Tai was in an offside position when he jumped up to make the header and the referee was completely correct in his decision not to recognize the goal. The final result, CAHN Club lost 1-2 to Khanh Hoa Club.

With the loss at the 19-8 stadium, CAHN Club went through 4 consecutive matches without winning in V.League 2023/2024, and temporarily ranked 7th on the rankings, with 9 points in hand. Meanwhile, Khanh Hoa Club had its second win after 7 matches, temporarily climbing to 12th place.
