The value of Vietnam’s squad is lower than Indonesia’s
Group D at the 2024 Asian Cup brings together 4 teams including Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia and Iraq. According to transfer site Transfermarkt, Japan is the team with the most expensive squad in the tournament and also the most expensive in the table with a total squad value of up to 316.95 million euros.
Ranked 2nd is Iraq with a total squad value of 11.63 million euros. Indonesia ranked third with a total squad value of 8.70 million euros), while Vietnam National Team ranked last with a total squad value of only 6.33 million euros.

The Japanese national team has 6 names in the Top 10 most expensive players in the 2024 Asian Cup, including Takefusa Kubo (valuation: 60 million euros), Kaoru Mitoma (50 million euros), Takehiro Tomiyasu (30 million euros), Hiroki Ito (22 million euros), Ritsu Doan (18 million euros) and Ko Itakura (15 million euros).
The cheapest player of the Japanese national team is left-back Kashif Bangnagande, priced at 75,000 euros.
On the Iraqi side, the most expensive player is the defensive midfielder (1.8 million euros). Behind him are striker Mohanad Ali (1 million euros) and central midfielder Amir Al-Ammari (700,000 euros). The cheapest is attacking midfielder Hiran Ahmed for 50,000 euros. The West Asian team also has two faces valued at less than 100,000 euros: right-back Allan Mohideen and left-back Merchas Doski (both priced at 75,000 euros).
The two most expensive players of the Indonesian national team, center back Jordi Amat and right back Sandy Walsh, are both valued at 1.4 million euros. In third place is central midfielder Marc Klok for 450,000 euros. The three cheapest names include right winger Witan, goalkeeper Reza Pratama and midfielder Muhammad Ferarri (both cost 25,000 euros).
For the Vietnam national team, the most expensive player is goalkeeper Filip Nguyen, valued at 600,000 euros. Next are striker Nguyen Van Toan and midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai (both cost 300,000 euros). Midfielder Bui Hoang Viet Anh is the cheapest player when valued at 100,000 euros.
