Overview
Sliders is an American science fiction and fantasy television series created by Robert K. Weiss and Tracy Tormé. The program was broadcast for five seasons between 1995 and 2000. The story begins in San Francisco, where a boy-genius named Quinn Mallory develops an invention that unlocks a doorway to an infinite number of Earths. During an initial test, Quinn invites his co-worker Wade Welles and his teacher Professor Maximillian Arturo to observe the device. An unexpected increase in power and an early departure cause the three individuals, along with a singer named Rembrandt Brown, to become lost in a parallel world. To return to their original home, the group must travel between different universes using an interdimensional wormhole, which is referred to as an Einstein-Rosen-Podolsky bridge. As they slide from world to world, the travelers must adapt to their constantly changing surroundings while continuing their search for a way back to the world they originally left behind.
