Overview

Doraemon is a Japanese anime television series based on the manga written and illustrated by Fujiko F. Fujio. This production serves as the third adaptation of the franchise, acting as the successor to the 1973 and 1979 anime series. Produced by Shin-Ei Animation and Asatsu-DK, the show began airing on TV Asahi in Japan on April 15, 2005. The narrative follows a robotic cat named Doraemon who is sent back in time from the 22nd century. His mission is to protect a ten-year-old boy named Noby, who is described as lazy and uncoordinated and is destined to face a tragic future. Doraemon possesses a pocket on his stomach from which he can create various secret gadgets. These items are frequently misused by Noby, which often results in more harm than good and leads to various instances of mischief. Alongside Noby and Doraemon, the series features the adventures of their friends in a variety of situations.
