S1·E801 Convenient Treasure Island
Synopsis
Nobita and his friends go on a sea adventure as part of a spring break request, with Doraemon using a gadget to create a “moderate” treasure island experience. They are guided by a dolphin-like robot named Hodho, but the adventure turns strange when the treasure they find is just merchandise instead of real riches. After Gian and Suneo complain, Doraemon increases the difficulty, leading to real danger: storms, malfunctioning gadgets, and transformations into sea creatures to survive. The group eventually discovers the true treasure inside a whale, but the adventure keeps shifting between too easy and too hard, leaving them confused as Hodho insists everything is “just right.”

In season one, episode 801 of Doraemon, titled Convenient Treasure Island, Nobita and his friends embark on a sea adventure during a spring break request. To facilitate the trip, Doraemon uses a gadget to create a moderate treasure island experience for the group. During their journey, they are guided by a dolphin-like robot named Hodho.
However, the adventure takes a strange turn when the group finds that the treasure they discover consists merely of merchandise rather than real riches. Following complaints from Gian and Suneo about the lack of genuine treasure, Doraemon increases the difficulty of the experience. This adjustment leads to real danger, which includes storms, malfunctioning gadgets, and the temporary transformation of the participants into sea creatures in order to survive.
Eventually, the group discovers the true treasure located inside a whale. Despite this discovery, the adventure continues to shift unpredictably between being too easy and too hard, leaving the participants confused. Throughout these shifts, Hodho continually insists that everything is just right.
