S1·E206 My Birthday is the Same as Always
Synopsis
Even though it’s his birthday, Nobita feels disappointed because he worries his parents’ present will once again not match what he wanted. Trying to distract himself, he visits Shizuka’s house, but while waiting for her to return, he becomes impatient and asks Doraemon for a way to skip wasted time. Doraemon then introduces the “Time Warp Reel,” a gadget that allows them to jump forward in time, leading Nobita to experiment with fast-forwarding to the moment Shizuka comes home.

In the television episode titled My Birthday is the Same as Always, Nobita experiences a disappointing birthday. Even though it is his special day, he feels concerned that the present from his parents will not match what he actually wanted. To try and distract himself from these worries, Nobita decides to visit Shizuka at her house. However, while waiting for Shizuka to return, Nobita grows impatient and asks Doraemon for a way to skip what he considers wasted time. In response to his request, Doraemon introduces a gadget known as the Time Warp Reel. This device allows them to jump forward in time. Nobita then begins to experiment with the gadget, using it to fast-forward directly to the moment when Shizuka comes back home.
