Takayo Fischer is an American stage, film, television, and voice-over actress as well as a singer. Born on November 25, 1932, in Hardwick, California, she is the daughter of Issei Japanese immigrants Chukuro and Kinko Tsubouchi. During World War II, she and her family were forcibly evacuated from the West Coast, spending time in the Fresno Assembly Center before relocating to the Jerome and Rohwer internment camps. As a young adult living in Chicago, Illinois, she won the title of Miss Nisei Queen and later attended Rollins College from 1951 to 1953. In her acting career, Fischer has earned numerous known credits and guest-starred on network television programs, including It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia and The Baby-Sitter's Club.
