Overview
It is Always Sunny in Philadelphia is an American television sitcom that premiered on August 4, 2005. Created by Rob McElhenney and co-developed by Glenn Howerton, the series was also developed by Charlie Day. The program originally aired on FX and currently airs on FXX. The show follows the exploits of five egocentric friends who run a failing neighborhood Irish pub in South Philadelphia. These individuals, described as narcissists, attempt to navigate the adult world of work and relationships. Their warped views and precarious judgments frequently lead them into trouble, resulting in a myriad of uncomfortable situations that typically worsen before they improve. The main cast includes Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney, Kaitlin Olson, and Danny DeVito. In addition to starring in the series, Day, Howerton, and McElhenney serve as executive producers. The show is also known by the titles It is Always Sunny, Always Sunny, or simply Sunny. Episodes are available for streaming on platforms such as Hulu.
