Ralph Fiennes
Biography
Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes, born December 22, 1962, in Suffolk, England, is a distinguished English actor and director. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 1985, and gained recognition for his Shakespearean performances on stage with the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Fiennes made his Broadway debut in 1995 as Hamlet, earning a Tony Award. His film work includes notable roles in Schindler's List, The English Patient, and the Harry Potter series as Voldemort. He has received a BAFTA Award and nominations for three Academy Awards, seven Golden Globe Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award. Fiennes comes from a creative family; four of his five siblings are also involved in the arts.
