William Francis Nighy is a British actor born on December 12, 1949. He began his career with the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool and made his London debut with the Royal National Theatre in 1977. Nighy gained recognition for his stage performances in productions such as The Illuminatus!, Pravda, Betrayal, Arcadia, and The Seagull. His work has earned him multiple accolades, including two BAFTA Awards and a Golden Globe Award. He has also received nominations for an Academy Award, a Tony Award, a Laurence Olivier Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
