The film follows Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger as they leave their final year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to locate and destroy Voldemort's remaining Horcruxes. With the Death Eaters gaining power and Voldemort's influence spreading, the trio faces increasing danger as they carry out their mission. The film features performances by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, reprising their roles as the central characters. Bill Nighy also stars in a supporting role. As the first part of the series' conclusion, the film sets up the final conflict between Harry and Voldemort. It was released in 2010 and was followed by Part 2, completing the story arc.
