Overview

Parkinson is a British television chat show presented by Michael Parkinson. The show was first shown on BBC One from 19 June 1971 to 10 April 1982 and was later revived from 9 January 1998 to 24 April 2004. The 1998 series featured Michael Parkinson interviewing various celebrity guests, including pop stars, actors, and musicians, such as Sting and Phil Collins. The show also included performances by the guests, with Phil Collins performing two songs with the BBC Big Band. The series consisted of multiple episodes, with Season 1 released on January 9, 1998, and consisting of 11 episodes. The show was later moved to ITV, where it continued from 4 September 2004 to 22 December 2007. The series featured a range of guests, including Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott and comedian Billy Connolly.
