Portia De Rossi is an Australian-American actress. She was born on January 31, 1973, in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. De Rossi began modeling as a child and appeared in several television commercials. She made her film debut in the 1994 comedy Sirens. In 1995, she moved to Los Angeles and began appearing in guest roles. De Rossi is known for her roles in the American drama series Ally McBeal, the American television sitcom Arrested Development, and the American political thriller series Scandal. She has appeared in numerous other television shows and films throughout her career. De Rossi is a model and philanthropist in addition to her acting work.
