Matthew Gerald is an American actor and screenwriter. Born in Miami, Florida, he graduated from The University of Pennsylvania. Gerald is known for his roles in the Netflix series Daredevil, where he played Melvin Potter, and the film Avatar, where he portrayed Corporal Lyle Wainfleet. He also appeared in the Showtime series Dexter, where he played the character Ray Speltzer.
